File Explorer is really slow Win 10 Hello, so I didn´t use my Microsoft Surface in a Month and now I have to study for a test but my file explorer is suddenly really slow. It takes Minutes to open a file or folder, while the rest is working as fast as usual.

The problem with slow boot times on Windows 8.1 appears widespread. Your comments about updated device drivers are not valid as Windows 8.1 Device Manager shows no errors.
May I ask is your application slow to respond while you select the mail, also check if your mail is syncing. Sometime poor internet connection becomes the cause.
Slow and 'stuttering' outlook inbox. What the heck happened? When I opened up my outlook email yesterday the new look was great, but everything is slow and 'stuttering'. When I scroll down through emails my screen inevitably freezes or makes hesitant moves back and forth. What a mess!

Use the basic screen background options, not the Aero option screens. I just proved this to myself by changing from Aero to basic and back. When in Aero screen, the windows fade in and out; very slow. To change, rightclick desktop, click personalize. Pick the Windows 7 Basic Theme. The fade will quit.
