There is a paved and then dirt road off Highway 1 and a sign at the turn-off to the beach area. Heading south the turn-off is to the right a few hundred yards past the Valero gas station. Going north is it just past the packing plant on the left. It is only the very last 200 feet where the road can have deep ruts and holes and where a low clearance vehicle like a Prius for example may have trouble.
