Cleveland Cavaliers assistants Jordan Ott and Johnnie Bryant are finalists for the Phoenix Suns' head coaching job.

The Phoenix Suns have announced the hiring of Ott, a first-time NBA head coach and tenured assistant under the likes of Darvin Ham, Steve Nash, and Kenny Atkinson. It’s a bold move, a pivot away from the established name game that’s defined the last few hires.

Ott is the organization’s fourth head coach in four seasons and arguably the most important in a couple decades.

Ott was hired for the position over fellow former Cleveland Cavaliers assistant coach Johnnie Bryant.
