The Jacksonville Jaguars drafted cornerback and wide receiver Travis Hunter with the intent of playing him on both sides of the ball in the NFL. No NFL player has played full-time on offense and defense since the 1960s, but the Jaguars have a plan for how they intend to use and prepare him to play both ways.

The Jaguars sound intriguingly open to actually playing Travis Hunter both ways, even if it's not happening right away.

Hunter has been getting most of the minicamp and OTA snaps at receiver, working alongside second-year player Brian Thomas Jr. and free agent signee Dyami Brown. On paper, those three players will lead a receiving corps that should be a massive upgrade on last year’s group. But the other piece of the Hunter puzzle is how he fits on defense.
