Senate Republicans voted late Saturday to move forward with President Trump's " big, beautiful bill " — clearing a significant hurdle and setting up a lengthy weekend to pass the legislation.

The Senate Republican leadership have been twisting arms for an initial vote on the "Big Beautiful Bill" by Saturday afternoon, following the release of its latest version - all 940 pages - shortly after midnight.

The vote came after hours of uncertainty over whether the massive package could secure enough Republican votes to move to a final Senate vote.
