Thursday morning's snow was causing some difficulties for drivers across the Denver metro area. Snow started falling early in the morning and according to CBS Colorado's First Alert meteorologists, the system could bring roughly 1-3 inches of snow to areas south and east of Denver.

This system will start initially as snowfall Friday afternoon and evening; however, freezing rain and sleet will mix in with the snow Friday night due to warmer air in the upper levels of the atmosphere.

Oklahoma City crews are plowing roads after snow fell and accumulated Thursday throughout the metro. Chris Daniels, the street superintendent for the city of Oklahoma City, said 25 plow trucks are working to clear roads because of the depth of snow.
