The U.S. Geological Survey says the magnitude 2.0 quake was about 5.5 miles southeast of York Harbor in almost the exact same spot as a magnitude 3.8 earthquake on Monday.

The U.S. Geological Survey is reporting a magnitude 4.1 earthquake happened off the coast of southern Maine on Monday. According to the USGS, the earthquake happened at 10:22 a.m. just over 8 miles (13 km) southeast of York Harbor.

It felt as if the furnace was blowing up, a truck was hitting our building and our solar panels were falling off – all at the same time,” said a resident less than 10 miles from the quake’s epicenter.
