Meta Platform’s nuclear deal with Constellation Energy signals the AI boom isn’t about to wane anytime soon. The two companies announced on Tuesday a 20-year agreement where Meta will use nuclear energy from Constellation’s Illinois nuclear plant and purchase clean energy attributes from the project to offset less environmentally friendly generation elsewhere.

The power purchase agreement will also extend operations at Constellation’s Clinton Clean Energy Center in Illinois for two decades and replace an expiring state tax credit.
