An air quality advisory is in effect for Southeast Michigan as smoke from the Canadian wildfires continues to move into the state.

Meteorologists at the Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes and Energy (EGLE) have issued an air quality advisory for Friday and Saturday. The advisory was issued due to elevated levels of fine particulates in the air across the state caused by smoke from the wildfires happening in Canada.
