Ohio Rep. Tex Fischer has authored a bill that attempts to curtail Ohio State football from playing a game before 3:30 p.m. ET. What to know:

The proposed bill states that no college football games played in Ohio should start before 3:30 p.m. when “one competing team is the football team of a state university” or when “both competing teams are ranked among the top ten teams in the Associated Press poll.”

Since launching in 2019, Fox’s Big Noon Kickoff has become a ratings powerhouse in the noon ET window, positioning itself as a direct challenger to ESPN/ABC’s 7:30 p.m. primetime slot and CBS’s long-held 3:30 p.m. ET SEC showcase.
