Texas lawmakers have voted to ban THC edibles, but will Gov. Greg Abbott sign it into law? A fierce debate has erupted around the state’s multibillion-dollar industry.

According to the Texas Legislative Council, the length of time Abbott has to sign a bill, such as SB 3, depends on when it arrived at his desk. If a bill is sent to him within the last 10 days of the Texas Legislature, the governor has 20 days to sign it. If a bill was sent to him before the final 10 days of the session, he has 10 days to sign it.

The bill, now on the governor's desk, would allow prescription vape products and expand the program's list of qualifying conditions.
