The Minnesota Vikings are heading to Detroit this weekend to trip and steal the No. 1 seed away from the Lions. They’re hoping to bring a contingent of fans along with them. According to Albert Breer of Sports Illustrated,

NFL regular season ended with the Lions earning their third victory, the Vikings firing their coach and Sam Darnold badly losing a meaningless game for Carolina, which had benched him earlier that season and would bench him to start 2022.

The final week of the NFL season typically has teams that are either seeing their season end or teams having nothing to play for. Whether that's having a division title or postseason seed secured, some teams do decide to rest players given what's ahead in January.
