A powerful storm system is set to continue impacting the Pacific Northwest this week, bringing heavy rain to lowlands and snow to the Cascades.
Through the remainder of Tuesday, there will be some passing showers and mountain snow. Some of the heavier showers could contain some graupel or ice pellets at times. However, lowland snow chances are leaving with warming temperatures into midweek.
New York City, New Jersey, southern New England and coastal communities along the East Coast faced blizzard warnings and some of the biggest snowfall totals in years.
