ESPN: Brewers, 8 other MLB teams end deals with FanDuel Sports Network
According to ESPN, opting out of their deals now gives those MLB teams the flexibility to renegotiate or explore other alternatives, including the possibility of joining MLB.
The nine MLB teams who had contracts with Main Street Sports have terminated those contracts with the company. It’s possible that some of them eventually work out new deals with the broadcaster, which operates channels under the FanDuel Sports Network banner.
The troubled broadcaster is trying to renegotiate its payments to nine MLB teams, and recently missed a payment to the St. Louis Cardinals.
