Hulk Hogan’s death on Thursday hit wrestlers, wrestling fans and Bay Area residents hard and it wasn’t long before tributes came pouring in honoring the life of the legendary wrestler.
While he may not have been prepping for appearances at upcoming WWE events, the Hulkster had been filming a documentary chronicling his career in professional wrestling with Netflix over the past year. CNN reports that the wrestler gave twenty hours worth of interviews, and that thirty hours of scenes were shot on top of that.
Last week, the wrestling world was saddened by the news of the passing of The Immortal ‘Hollywood’ Hulk Hogan. The WWE Hall of Famer has had an illustrious wrestling career. At the same time, he has also been embroiled in some controversies in recent years.
Hulk Hogan, iconic wrestling figure, died at 71 with no foul play suspected, leaving a contested legacy due to past racist remarks, yet remembered for his significant influence on wrestling and pop culture.
Hulk Hogan brought pro wrestling into the living rooms of a whole generation of fans, but he also leaves behind a legacy that's not as simple as Hulkamania felt back then.
