Portions of Interstate 70 were closed throughout the day Monday. At 4:21 p.m., the Colorado Department of Transportation said eastbound I-70 was closed between the East Frisco and Silverthorne exits.

Emergency crews battled a car fire on Interstate 70 near Woods Chapel Road on Tuesday afternoon. The fire began around 5 p.m. A lane of traffic was briefly closed as a result of the fire.
