The debate has been going on since Harshit Rana was allowed to be a concussion substitute for Shivam Dube during India’s fourth T20I against England at the Maharashtra Cricket Association stadium in Pune on Friday.

In a highly-debated decision during the fourth T20I between India and England, Harshit Rana replaced Shivam Dube as a concussion substitute and played a crucial role in the series-sealing victory of the Men In Blue in Pune.

Harshit Rana was added to the India playing XI for the fourth T20 against England as a concussion substitute for Shivam Dube. However, this decision was controversial, with some claiming that Harshit was not a like-for-like replacement.

Harshit Rana was brought in as a concussion substitute after Shivam Dube could not take the field in the second innings after being hit in the head courtesy a bouncer from Jamie Overton. This was also the young fast bowler's debut in the shortest format of the game.

Although it wasn't the debut he thought, it was certainly a memorable one for Indian pacer Harshit Rana, who made his appearance for India in the 4th T20I against England on Friday.

Rana's entry on the field gave India an extra bowling option, and the Kolkata Knight Riders pacer showcased his skills by taking key wickets.
