In One UI 8, Samsung has removed many of these classic DeX elements. The dedicated DeX tab in settings no longer exists and has been replaced by a “Connected Display” menu.
While my first two picks have been things I don’t want Samsung to take away from me, the next thing I need out of DeX in One UI 8 is to keep my current taskbar flexibility.
The end result is, Samsung’s new DeX supports real fullscreen in One UI 8. Just don’t expect to find it easily. You'll need to long-press that maximize button to escape the header and taskbar.
