Dallas Weather: Monday Evening Has a Potential for Severe Weather
Dallas and North Texas could face severe weather Monday evening as showers and storms move into the region. The National Weather Service office in Fort Worth says strong storms are expected north of the Interstate 20 corridor Monday night. Potentially damaging winds and hail are the biggest threats, with a low chance of tornadoes and localized flooding. Weather officials urged residents to make sure they can receive severe weather warnings overnight, with alerts loud enough to wake them up. Before the storms arrive, most of Monday will be partly sunny, with temperatures reaching a high of 84 degrees. Windy conditions are also expected, and some gusts could reach 35 miles per hour. Monday's low is forecast at 62 degrees. Showers and thunderstorms are expected to move east before sunrise Tuesday. The forecast then calls for partly sunny skies, breezy conditions and cooler temperatures. Wednesday brings abundant sunshine and pleasant weather, with a high of 73.
