Fox News, local TV stations and other Fox Corp.-owned networks will remain on YouTube TV — for now — after the parties agreed to a short-term extension to their previous contract, as talks on a renewal continue.

YouTube TV and Fox have avoided a programming blackout after reaching a short-term contract extension, a spokesperson for the media giant told TheWrap. “We are committed to advocating on behalf of our subscribers as we work toward a fair deal and will keep you updated on our progress,” YouTube TV said.

YouTube TV's millions of subscribers could lose Fox News, FS1, local Fox TV stations and more as soon as this Wednesday if the Google-owned video service can't reach a deal wit Fox Corp. The current YouTube TV distribution agreement with Fox Corp.
