YouTube admits to quietly using AI to edit Shorts videos, sparking creator concerns over a lack of transparency in its latest experiment.

Creators are furious after YouTube confirmed it has been quietly altering Shorts with AI without telling them.

Rene Ritchie, YouTube’s creator liaison, said in a post on X that the platform is “running an experiment on select YouTube Shorts that uses traditional machine learning technology.”
