Israel has recovered the bodies of two Israeli-American hostages taken in Hamas’ Oct. 7, 2023 attack that ignited the war in Gaza.

The Israeli military and Shin Bet, Israel's domestic security agency, recovered Judith Weinstein-Haggai, 70, and Gad Haggai, 72, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said.

The bodies of Judith Weinstein Haggai and Gad Haggai, killed in the October 7 Hamas attack, have been returned to Israel after a special operation in Gaza. The couple, who lived in Nir Oz kibbutz, were killed during the initial cross-border assault.
