Atalanta were held to a 1-1 draw at home by Lecce, as Mateo Retegui's second-half penalty for the hosts cancelled out Jesper Karlsson's spot kick for the visitors in Serie A on Sunday.

The turning point arrived shortly after, as Isak Hien was adjudged to have fouled Ante Rebic in the box following a VAR review. Jesper Karlsson stepped up for Lecce and converted the penalty, giving the visitors a much-needed lead. This was Lecce’s first lead in a match since their 3-2 defeat to AC Milan nearly two months prior.
