There’s of course already no shortage of random speculation about what teams may or may not do, but for Chelsea, the two main rumors so far have been about a striker, specifically Liam Delap, and about a center back, specifically Dean Huijsen. Unfortunately, in both of those cases, those players are now (reportedly) looking elsewhere than the SW6.

Chelsea believe they have beaten Manchester United to the signing of Ipswich Town star Liam Delap. The 22-year-old striker enjoyed a breakout campaign with the Tractor Boys and while his 12 Premier League goals weren’t enough to save the club from relegation, his stock has risen considerably over the course of the season.
