Via Pete Thamel of ESPN.com, Tar Heels coach Bill Belichick has hired two more staff members, including former NFL special-teams coordinator Mike Priefer. He has not previously worked for Belichick; he was hired by the Browns in 2019 by North Carolina offensive coordinator Freddie Kitchens.

Bill Belichick is operating without a signed contract at North Carolina. According to CBS Sports, Belichick hasn’t officially signed his deal with the school. UNC introduced him as its next coach in December and the six-time Super Bowl winner has been assembling a staff and gone out on the road to recruit.
