Olaf's death in Frozen II is arguably the saddest moment in the franchise. But, according to Josh Gad, who voiced the lovable snowman in both films, the character's death in the original script was much more brutal.

Jennifer Lee, the director of Frozen, Frozen 2, and the upcoming Frozen 3 and 4 (as announced last year by current Disney CEO Bob Iger) was the first woman to direct a feature that grossed over a billion dollars worldwide. Frozen 3 is currently in production, and is projected to hit theaters over Thanksgiving weekend in 2027.

If you've seen Frozen 2, then you'll know the unthinkable happened, and everyone's favorite cuddly snowman Olaf tragically (and temporarily) died near the end of the movie. It's a tearjerker of a moment,
