San Bernardino Bishop Albert Rojas wrote a letter dispensing his diocese from the obligation of attending Sunday mass due to fear of immigration operations.

All members of the faithful who, due to genuine fear of immigration enforcement actions, are unable to attend Sunday Mass or Masses on holy days of obligation are dispensed from this

The diocese is the first in the national to issue a special dispensation because of fears over immigration detentions.
