Alex Bregman remains one of the few free agents left and he's generating interest from a ton of ball clubs. One of them is the Boston Red Sox, who could use a player of Bregman's experience on their roster. New addition Walker Buehler has even tried to recruit Bregman to sign with the historic franchise.

The Red Sox need another right-handed bat. They are connected with two, though adding either one would have ramifications for Casas, others.

St. Louis Cardinals third baseman Nolan Arenado could still be traded after he blocked a potential trade to the Houston Astros in December. However, his options have seemed to dwindle and there's really only one team out there who could possibly make a deal for Arenado: the Boston Red Sox, according to The Athletic 's Katie Woo.
