The Iowa State men suffered their first loss of 2025 this past weekend, losing at West Virginia. Unable to get going on the offensive end, the Cyclones fell for the first time since a November defeat to top-ranked Auburn at the Maui Invitational.

Despite Iowa State ’s 64-57 loss at then-unranked West Virginia, the Cyclones moved down just one spot. While Alabama, Florida and Tennessee stayed put, Michigan State (16-2) and Houston (14-3) made significant jumps.

Cooper Flagg accumulated 28 points, seven rebounds and three assists for the Blue Devils, including several key buckets down the stretch to seal a Duke victory. But the 2024-25 Blue Devils are elite for so many more reasons than just Flagg’s greatness.
