Winnipeg Jets goalie Connor Hellebuyck, Carolina Hurricanes centre Jordan Staal and Detroit Red Wings right winger Patrick Kane were named the three stars of the week by the NHL on Monday.

The Milestones cards are to celebrate each player reaching 1300 games played in their respective careers. They include 94 overall Patrick Kane and 93 overall Marc-Edouard Vlasic and Jordan Staal.

It's the first time Staal has earned any Stars of the Week honors. In four games, the 36-year-old veteran led the league with five goals and seven points leading Carolina to a 2-1-1 record.
