The National Weather Service issued an updated winter storm watch at 2:07 a.m. on Thursday valid from 10 p.m. until Saturday 4 p.m. for East Slopes of the Oregon Cascades.
Winter weather advisories or winter storm warnings were in place for seven states early Tuesday morning, with the National Weather Service forecasting up to 12 inches of snow for some parts of the country. Winter storms can cause power outages, while snow can interfere with travel and create dangerous driving conditions.
An updated winter storm warning was issued by the National Weather Service on Wednesday at 4 a.m. in effect until Thursday at 1 a.m. for Oneida County.
A winter storm watch was issued by the National Weather Service on Tuesday at 3:54 a.m. valid from 7 p.m. until Wednesday 6 p.m. for Oneida County.
On Thursday at 2:07 a.m. a winter storm watch was issued by the National Weather Service valid from Friday 4 a.m. until Saturday 4 p.m. for Northern Blue Mountains of Oregon.

The storm forecast is still not solid, even as it approaches the metro area, but there will be morning commute impacts, making Thursday a Pinpoint Weather Alert Day to warn of slick roadways
“There are no changes to the acceptance of any other cargo, and we will make every effort to complete sailings as scheduled; however, changes in the forecast and intensity of the storm conditions could have additional effects on our operation,” said Young Brothers in its announcement.
