Philadelphia Flyers forward Matvei Michkov was involved in a car accident while vacationing in Dubai, as first reported by Alexey Shevchenko of the Russian newspaper Sport-Express on Wednesday.

Michkov, the No. 7 overall pick in the 2023 NHL Draft, recently completed his rookie season with the Flyers. He led all NHL rookies with 26 goals and finished the year with 63 points in 80 games.
