Police arrested a student after an altercation between two students at Benjamin Franklin High School in Highland Park led to a stabbing. The attack occurred around 8:30 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 29, just outside the school at 820 N. Ave. 54.

A man was stabbed near the campus of Franklin High School in Highland Park, police say. The Los Angeles Police Department said they responded to 820 N Ave. 54 at 8:40 a.m. after receiving calls of a stabbing.

One student is in custody and another is recovering following a stabbing outside a Highland Park high school Wednesday morning, the Los Angeles School Police Department said in a letter sent to parents and guardians.
