The crew of the U.S. Coast Guard Cutter James offloaded more than 44,550 pounds of marijuana and cocaine at Port Everglades in Florida.

The drugs were seized in 13 interdictions in the eastern Pacific Ocean by the crews of the U.S. Coast Guard cutters James and Mohawk, federal authorities said.

The U.S. Coast Guard Cutter Campbell Crew arrested 23 suspected smugglers, who are all expected to face a judge in federal court.

The U.S. Coast Guard on Wednesday offloaded tens of thousands of pounds of cocaine and thousands of pounds of marijuana — with an estimated street value of more than $500 million — at Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale that it and other agencies confiscated while on a tour off South America earlier this year.

On Wednesday, crew members of the U.S. Coast Guard Cutter Stone were lauded for offloading over 45,600 pounds of cocaine at Port Everglades in Florida.
