Weather officials forecast a possible record-breaking winter storm for northern Michigan and the Upper Peninsula this weekend, March 14-15.

A powerful March storm will bring a big spread of weather across Michigan, from heavy rain and thunderstorms in the south to a possibly heavy ice storm and very heavy snow in the north. I'll give you the current layout in the live broadcast.

Southeast Michigan is facing several weather risks tonight into early Wednesday, including the potential for damaging wind, large hail, heavy rain, and even an isolated tornado, but the exact area that the severe weather will hit is dependent on a warm front.

Severe storms will impact parts of Michigan while other areas will see snow and ice.
