Rising country star Gavin Adcock challenged Beyoncé's place in the country music charts, saying her "Cowboy Carter" album "doesn't sound country" despite its success.

He said this in response to his album “My Own Worst Enemy,” (No.5) coming behind Beyonce’s (No.4) on the Apple Music country music charts.

In a recent concert rant, country singer Gavin Adcock slammed Beyoncé's "Cowboy Carter" album, saying it "ain't country."
