Nintendo Reveals How Donkey Kong Bananza Would Have Looked

Donkey Kong Bananza has had a lengthy development time, with the director claiming work started on the game right after Super Mario Odyssey.
Motokura spoke about the team returning to the classic Donkey Kong design used in the arcade days, saying, "While overhauling the design, we returned to where it had all started. We took Miyamoto-san's original Donkey Kong as the basis, adding design elements from Donkey Kong Bananza here and there."
Donkey Kong Bananza is the gorilla's first 3D platformer since 1999's Donkey Kong 64 and the first to be internally developed by Nintendo since 2005's Donkey Kong Jungle Beat. In our preview, it was confirmed that it is being developed by the same team behind Super Mario Odyssey.
Nintendo has filed a copyright notice for an unannounced Donkey Kong film, in collaboration with Universal Pictures.
Destruction is at the core of Donkey Kong Bananza, with seemingly every bit of the environment ready to burst into voxels (tech that was actually developed first for Super Mario Odyssey ), which naturally can result in dropped frames, as some Donkey Kong Bananza preview s have noted.
