The "Die Another Day" actress told reporters at the Cannes Film Festival she doesn't know if casting a woman as the next Bond is "the right thing to do."

All eyes were on Halle Berry as the Cannes Film Festival kicked off on Tuesday with its jury press conference, where the Oscar winner was questioned on everything from Cannes’ new dress code to if she would ever go back to the James Bond universe.

"I don't know if 007 should be a woman," Berry told Variety at the 2025 Cannes Film Festival. "In 2025, it's nice to say, 'Oh, he should be a woman.' But I don't really know if that's the right thing to do."
