Memphis Grizzlies star Ja Morant has deactivated his X social media account, formerly Twitter, amid criticism of his recent play.

Ja Morant finished the loss with ten points, five rebounds and two assists while shooting 5/13 from the field. After the game, fans noticed that the superstar point guard deactivated his X account. Via @GrizzlyMuse: "Ja has deactivated Twitter.

Ja Morant struggled for most of Saturday night before putting the Minnesota Timberwolves away late in the fourth quarter.

The Memphis Grizzlies provided an update on Ja Morant's shoulder injury, and when he might be able to get back on the court.

Grizzlies head coach Taylor Jenkins gave an update on Morant's injury after they ruled him out of Friday's contest due to right foot soreness. "He's been nursing a foot sprain since the Houston home game," Jenkins said. "Last game against the Spurs, he got tangled up, had a little collision there with a Spurs player that really worsened it."

NBA fans haven't forgotten about Ja Morant. Though he played only nine games in 2023-24, Morant is off to a strong start this season and earned plenty of support in the first returns of NBA All-Star voting that were released on Thursday afternoon.

The Memphis Grizzlies came out on top in a closely fought battle against the Minnesota Timberwolves on Saturday night.

The first pick, Zion Williamson, has been plagued with injuries throughout his young career and this season has been no different. Williamson has only played 10 games this season and has unfortunately already been ruled out for Friday's matchup in Memphis.

Grizzlies forward Jake LaRavia also deactivated his 'X' account on Tuesday. The Grizzlies (31-16) will be back in action on Thursday night against the Houston Rockets (8:30 p.m., TNT).
