Huntington Beach was listed on a since-removed Department of Homeland Security list of sanctuary cities that were “defying federal immigration law” late last week, something Mayor Pat Burns called either a misprint or a serious mistake.

The list, which included six Connecticut municipalities, was posted Thursday on the federal Department of Homeland Security website. But on Sunday, there was a "Page Not Found" message in its place.

The webpage for a Department of Homeland Security list of localities it said were in violation of federal immigration law was taken down over the weekend.
