STAUNTON – Virginia State Police on Thursday identified the victim killed in a Jan. 9 fire last week in Augusta County. The fire began shortly before midnight at a building located at 1477 Guthrie Road. The address is listed as belonging to the Mountain Creek Stables. Authorities have yet to release the fire's cause or origin.
