The Eagles had the No. 1 defense in the NFL last season but they did lose plenty of players this offseason. Josh Sweat, Milton Williams, Darius Slay, Brandon Graham, C.J. Gardner-Johnson, Isaiah Rodgers and Oren Burks are all gone.

Landon Dickerson (knee) and Ben VanSumeren (ACL), who were absent during last week’s viewing of OTAs, both worked out on Tuesday. Lane Johnson and Reed Blankenship also returned. There were four absences: DeVonta Smith, who also missed last week’s session, Johnny Wilson, Elijah Cooks and E.J. Jenkins.

Much has been made about all the changes the Eagles made on defense during the offseason. Vic Fangio offered his insight into the matter Tuesday. “I told the players this,” he said. “I look at this year very similar to last year in that at this time last year we had a lot of turnover in personnel from the previous year.
