Yoon’s additional indictments mean he will remain in jail for up to six months as he faces a trial at the Seoul Central District Court on his Dec. 3 martial law declaration.

A day after South Korea's former President Yoon Suk Yeol was indicted on additional charges of abuse of power over his declaration of martial law last December, authorities on Sunday questioned the country's Unification Minister Kim Yung-ho.

The new charges include obstruction of the exercise of others' rights by abuse of authority, ordering the deletion of records and blocking the execution of arrest warrants, the prosecutor's office said.
