The Los Angeles Chargers ' bout with the Pittsburgh Steelers was largely a dull affair, marked more by sacks and Aaron Rodgers miscues than strong play. Los Angeles was the more efficient side on the day, emerging as 25-10 victors behind a stifling defensive showing and timely scores from Ladd McConkey and Kimani Vidal.

As a team, the Steelers created six turnovers, five at the hands of Jones, and a Josh Downs fumble. Jones was sacked for a season-high five times for a loss of 29 yards. He entered the season being sacked just seven times through Week 8.
