Bayern Munich are planning an improved offer for Liverpool forward Luis Diaz. The Bundesliga side had an initial £58.6m bid for the Colombia international turned down by the Premier League champions earlier this month.
And now Spanish website Fichajes insists that Liverpool have chosen ‘three candidates’ to replace the winger after the Colombian left ‘a significant gap’ in their attack. Liverpool have identified Real Madrid’s Rodrygo, RB Leipzig’s Antonio Nusa and Lyon’s Malick Fofana as potential options to fill the hole left by Diaz.
Diaz was already in Bayern's shortlist on the left flank following the departures of Leroy Sane and Thomas Muller. Although the Bavarians had to pay a premium to lure the 28-year-old out of Merseyside, they have secured a quality winger to aid the likes of Harry Kane, Michael Olise, and Jamal Musiala.
Liverpool boss Arne Slot explained why Luis Diaz missed the pre-season friendly against AC Milan, hinting that his move to Bayern Munich is close.
