Ted Danson is raising a glass to the one and only George Wendt. Hours after news of Wendt’s death at age 76 broke, the “Man on the Inside” star, 77, shared a heartfelt sentiment for his fallen co-star.
One of George Wendt's final public appearances before his death was definitely a wholesome one. In August 2024, the actor, who died at age 76, reunited with his Cheers co-stars Ted Danson and Woody Harrelson for an episode of the Where Everybody Knows Your Name podcast.
The critically acclaimed sitcom Cheers aired from 1982 to 1993, following a group of locals who hung out at a Boston bar of the same name. “Everything I do is because of the popularity of that show,” Ted Danson told Entertainment Tonight in September 2022.
As A Man on the Inside continues to gain awards-season attention, star Ted Danson and creator-executive producer-writer-director Mike Schur gathered at an FYC event on Wednesday at the Motion Picture & Television Fund in the Los Angeles suburb of Woodland Hills.
