LA Fleet Week got a downtown San Pedro welcome with music and dancing and other fun on Thursday night, May 22.

Several Southern California locations, including Los Angeles National Cemetery and Forest Lawn cemeteries in Long Beach, Glendale, and beyond, will hold special events May 26, inviting us to solemnly remember U.

Fleet Week 2025 sails into Hell’s Kitchen this Wednesday with the Parade of Ships — launching a packed week of activity centered on the Intrepid Museum and stretching across the West Side to Times Square.

In May 2007, two Journal News journalists took in Fleet Week from the deck of a multipurpose amphibious assault ship, the USS Wasp.
