The United States on Thursday sanctioned four International Criminal Court Judges, citing investigations into U.S. personnel in Afghanistan and Israeli leaders.

The UN’s top human rights official, Volker Türk, has strongly condemned U.S. sanctions on four ICC judges as “deeply corrosive” to international justice. These judges, who ruled on cases involving alleged war crimes by U.

The move is retaliation over the war tribunal's probe into alleged war crimes by U.S. troops in Afghanistan and over an arrest warrant for Israel's Netanyahu.
