Ireland's Jamie Osborne will join the British and Irish Lions squad as cover despite Blair Kinghorn receiving "positive news" on a knee scan.

Farrell has still taken the opportunity to add some additional training cover to his squad in the form of versatile Leinster back Jamie Osborne, who will fly to Brisbane on Saturday after leaving the Ireland camp ahead of their match in Portugal. He played the full 80 minutes of a weakened Ireland’s 34-5 win over Georgia in Tbilisi last weekend.

The British and Irish Lions have called up versatile Ireland back Jamie Osborne as cover for Blair Kinghorn - though the Scot could yet recover from a knee injury in time to feature in the three Tests against the Wallabies.
