Two brothers have appeared in court charged assaulting police at Manchester Airport, before an officer was filmed stamping on a suspect's head. Footage of the brawl at the airport's Terminal Two building on July 23 was widely shared online.

Mohammed Fahir Amaaz, 20, of Rochdale, was charged with two counts of causing actual bodily harm; one count of assaulting an emergency worker; and one of common assault. Muhammad Amaad, 25, also of Rochdale, was charged with one count of causing actual bodily harm. They appeared at Liverpool Magistrates' Court this morning (Thursday, January 16).
